See what our satisfied customers have to say
I don’t often find the time, or have inclination to do this, but I recently had two occasions to make small purchases from your company
and I want to give you a report card.
The person that answered the phone was polite, had good diction and forwarded me promptly to someone that was able to help me.
The people that took the orders were, in both cases, knowledgeable, helpful and got me what I wanted.
To add to all this the order was shipped promptly.
To do a common thing uncommonly well brings success.
- Harold N.
Just to let you know that your workers Mark and Lenny did an outstanding job for us and worked steadily and uninterruptedly
for many hours. Outstanding works, product and service. – Beata A.
As Joan and I begin the New Year in our new home we want to thank you (Jason) and the Installation Crew for your part and
assistance in making our dream house a reality. We are very much enjoying our new house and the wonderful glass block window
and shower in our bathroom. We wish you and your company a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2010. – John C.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with SGB. Kara H was the customer service representative that I dealt with.
She was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of my project. She helped me with my design and answered any questions that I had.
Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and had a GREAT attitude. Thank-you SGB!! I will definitely recommend you! - Julia F.
The installers did a great job, it looks wonderful. Thank you so much, I appreciate everyone’s attention to detail on this project.
If I find another room I can have this done in, I’ll definitely give you a call. - Shelly L.
The young men who came to install our outdoor glass block wind-break were very polite, good at their craft, wasted no time in
getting the work completed and we were generally impressed. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and I have written letters to
complain of poor workmanship or unsatisfactory results. In this case it is just the opposite and I felt it is important to acknowledge
the good because we humans always find time to complain and forget to talk about the other side of things.
You at Seattle Glass Block are lucky to have them as employees and we are indeed lucky to have had the installation done by you.
We are very pleased with the results and will recommend your work in the future. – Dorothy H.
The glass block wall looks great and the crew was awesome. I am surprised that they were able to do the entire job in just one day.
I’ll definitely use Seattle Glass Block again if given the opportunity. – Dan R.
I want to let you know that the two workers, Lenny & Jordan, who placed the glass block windows did a very good job.
They were professional, cleaned the working area during & after the windows were placed, and work very hard from early morning
until late afternoon. My wife and I are very pleased with the results. – Alex N.
I just wanted to let you know that your guys did a great job with my bathroom windows. In addition, to awesome work, they were
amazingly professional, quite, and respectful of my space. This is what I call great customer service. It has been so long since
I have had good customer service; I had almost forgot what it looked like. Thank you for making this experience a positive one. – Julie D.
Just wanted to let you know we were very pleased with the installation yesterday. The crew arrived as scheduled, completed the
project by noon and cleaned up thoroughly. The new wall matches the existing one and looks great. – Mark L.
I just wanted to let you know how beautiful the glass block looks! And, I can't say enough about how professional and thorough
the two gentlemen were who installed the window. They were timely, polite, exact and clean, give those good boys a cookie! – Kristina L.
Project: Picnic Point Wastewater Treatment Plant, Edmonds, WA
This is in response to concerns raised about the site temperature conditions regarding the installation of glass unit masonry by Seattle Glass Block at the above referenced project.
The specifications in our literature regarding temperature limits during installation were purposely written with a psychological effect in mind; that is, to hopefully get masons to at least install above freezing conditions. I duplicated these requirements in the MSJC (Masonry Standards Joint Committee) Masonry Standard of which I have been a member since 1992. I authored the specification to be on the conservative side since many experienced masons have never laid glass block.
Mr. Brian Wright and Seattle Glass Block are experienced in glass unit masonry. In my almost 30 year’s tenure with Pittsburgh Corning Corporation, I have had the best of business relationships with Seattle Glass Block for over two decades. As far as I can remember, I have never been called to comment on any Seattle Glass Block project.
Prior to this notice, I reviewed three daily weather data reports (Jan 25-27, 2010) from the Everett Weather Station. In all three days, the minimum temperature never reached freezing and the average temperature was over 40°F. As a precaution, Brian Wright told me that he heated his mixing water when preparing his mortar. It just so happens that heating the mixing water during mortar preparation is one of the two options required by the MSJC standard when temperatures are from 40°F to 32°F. The other option is heating the sand.
Further to this project’s benefit, Seattle Glass Block offers a ten-year warranty on their work. This is probably at least twice as long a warranty period than any other construction trade. It is a testament to not only the quality of workmanship, but also the confidence level of Seattle Glass Block’s work.
If I can be of further assistance or if I can ally any fears or concerns regarding glass unit masonry on this project, I encourage anyone to contact me at our office.
